what happens when calvin and hobbes kid grows up

when i go to class i feel it to be to slow, no matter how good, bad a class is it never uses your complete imagination, or i should talk about myself it never uses my compelte brain power. No adrenalin rush. There is no possibility of ridding the thin line of luck and skill and doing something in the spur of the moment that makes you wonder. Some time people are tense , but not in a good way. I dont want to compare it with football or something, but something real time action i want. I wonder what will happen to the that calvin and hobbes kid when he grows up. Can he keep up his imagination in the real world and still live the world ( as in do well - i mean that kid is a genius isnt he ? so can he live up to his potentional and all ) or does he have to give in to reality.
just to finish it up, what about all the kids whose imagination we are firing off, how to give them chance to do something with same imagination

things to write

well i have had certain topics in mind , which i want to write about but i never got through writing them , well i couldn’t decide what level to write them at.

but let me write them in a way that i have thought them no wrapping up in some fancy comparison with current world etc

first - i wanted to write about Krishna from Mahabharata . Its a amazing character , without picking up a sword Krishna decided the war ( i wanted to make a analogy with some modern day football manager ) there is this small story - duryodhan had gone to convince Krishna to fight for him and when he reached there Krishna was sleeping . so he sat there on next ( on some chair kinda thing ) and yudhishtar went little late but he sat in front or close to feet and when Krishna woke up he saw yudhistar first ( typical Mahabharata mix up ) . Ultimately Krishna gave choice that u can pick me or my army but i wont fight and duryodhan picked the army . This pretty much decided the war. Whats so great about this analogy is that Krishna pulls so many strings in the war that if he was human also , people after reading the book will say he is god . (human in story or what ever) . there by creating the urban legend he is god . The end that he sees is also seems to be really nice dealt , you know kinda ironic death he faces

Secondly i wanted to write about bali - Bali is realy one of my favourite characters ( i wanted to probably create a analogy between me and him - but that would be pretty sad for him i guess)
Bali had this awesome power that who ever he fights he gets all equivalent power added to his own. So he will be always stronger than the opponent that he is facing ( their is even a story of bali beating ravan before ).
SEE it in real world as one on match , let me tell you from my own experience - when ever i have played any match in say baddy i rate my self very badly against opponents( as in their level is really good and i don’t know have same strength and even same skill) but when i play i have beaten many opponents who are much better than me. now its probably because i rate myself badly .But i would like to see it as increase of level against a better opponent. ( also there is a catch in my power though sometimes i feel like now i will win and my power goes - this was fiction story line i was gonna develop, may be )
Same shit happens in football , but its much different . Also sometimes its not about beating but at least increasing level so u can at least match up to better opponent ( actually u have to better only ) and so on its hard to describe since its always hard to analyze this and not mix fictionalize it completely( if i am telling it as straight face like i am telling it now .)

Now in this bali character is no underdog. one thing i wanted to put across was like he knows he is gonna get strong and he can match up with any one. in fact look it this way he is a consistent underdog but he is a winner . no matter what the competition throws at him he will always do it one up . he will always win at the end .

You see one thing that motivated me to write was stuff like death note ( its a anime , its about one guy finds a book in which if u write the name of the person and if you know his face then you can kill that person. simple idea - they extended it to the person having the death note becomes death god kinda meme a internet sensation who kills of criminals.now other way around they get one detective who feels that this is not a way to stop crime and decides to stop kira . Throw in some philosophy shit (which i felt was used well to provide depth to story , therefore not the waste that people calls it)
The point about death note its a simple story that is extended well on a simple idea and they ended up with a great story.(similar case with full metal alchemist )
unlike catch 22 or something its not based on some real life characters and any one could have thought of this idea of death note. How does one know that what idea they have is worthy of extending it to a full fledged story.

There are also other things to think about , one big problem for me is giving shape and say may be putting efforts to say things in more complicated things than they really are . But this might of essence if i really want to write something nice.

But the negative of all that is what i feel in harry potter simple idea , extended to 7 books. It gets full of cliches and ultimately i felt book ran out of steam after 4 th book . what i really want some harry potter fan to do is make some statistical / function kinda graph and show the twists in story ( i mean she cant use twist in every book since if you know there is a twist coming , it ain’t a twist any more kinda theory )

SO , where to go with these characteristics and some more like these . expand them and cover with fancy language or say them as it is?

noida land scam

here is my view on noida land scam. why my view when so many already there, since i havent come across same view. Why any view - well these scams are really taking my thoughts since one i dont have anything else to inspire me. secondly its kinda of interesting , kinda like a movie with infinite movie twist . where u will never see whats really going on & Really clever villains .

SO , what is noida land scam conspiracy theory - As you might know by now that , that land which was sold to builders as industrial land (either that or some issue with land rates ) , they used it to construct flats . Now supreme court is saying that these flats cant be sold . But its already sold and people have already paid much of the amounts fr these some constructed and other which are still ,underconstuction . So the buyers are stuck now, not knowing what the future holds for them.

Before i tell you about the flats more i must tell you about this case from bank of Punjab. bank of Punjab had given fixed deposit interest to NRI . Suddenly there was decrease in all over India of interest rates. Now this put bank of Punjab in a lot of trouble they would have to pay so much more interest then rest. So they thought of a plan and spread a propaganda that bank of Punjab has gone bankrupt. This made people fear for their money and rush to bank and get whatever they could. The bank on the face said their is absolutely nothing to worry which left no doubts in peoples mind , that now bank of Punjab is surely gone bankrupt.

Well people came and asked for their money. they had all the cash ready and gave it . This way bank could also keep a good image and also get out of its mess.

Now same here people have been promised flats for about 25 lakhs. Due to increase in building cost and also much more increase in land cost it absolutely makes no sense to these builders to sell of flats at these rates. But creating this fear that no one is gonna get any flat and one can lose entire life saving , many people might rush and get what ever money + interest deal they get now. These builders can sell of their flats anew at much higher prices.

Once again , this theory is based on the physiognomy and way builders talk. First up they say that the interest of buyers is supreme (simultaneously creating a fear and talking about buyout option).

12th class results story

every one is going berserk over 12th class results, let me tell a story

my brother had appeared fr 12th boards in 2004. On the day of his result he had gone out to play a golf tournament. On the morning of the tournament, he was sitting while the other fellow- ravi aggarwal was driving. So ravi aggarwal said in a very sad tone" beta your mom called and told your results are out .. wait let me tell you about the exams first.

PAST- My brother was very bad at studies. In fact it was looking pretty bad in pre-boards, like he getting 10-11 marks in every exam. One teacher even told my mom like let him give exams next year (so pointless, since he wastes a year, but i guess she wanted better school result) .

PREPARATION- So for preparation first , one teacher who was not getting permanent my dad had put in a word of him to get so. To return the favor he would come with some 3-4 teachers who would teach taking turns, while others slept, ate, watched TV etc in my room.

But my brother didnt have must trust in these people. Only one thing he trusted. He had a sure shot method. -Prayers. He built sorta of a mini temple/gurudawra in his room and prayed everyday.

EXAM- Biggest problem was maths. On the day of his maths exam, my brother walked in his class room . When he took his seat , his best friend was sitting next - pure coincidence. Now my brother was really good at cheating , also this guy knew my brothers condition. After the exam he told me that he had show at least 30 marks to my brother.

yea so, back to beginning. Exam results came. Ravi aggarwa said " beta your mom called and told your results are out.Pass, toh tum hogaye ho, magar number ache nahin aaye hai "

result as i remember- maths-35, business studies 35 ,economics-43,english61 type something

PS. I told this story to rohan, before iit exam. i asked him what if we get seat next to each other in iit. He said we will also cheat. I told if we cheat and not clear then surely, i didn’t deserve iit.
I also walked inside my class and found rohan sitting next to me. first exam went by and i couldn’t cheat at all since rohan was covering his sheat, so i cant cheat. Then while lunch break, i explained its goa and no body is even looking. We went again and this time also i could cheat, some times, i look back that was the day, when i was suppose to get into iit.

PS2. after result some people after failing themselves had proclaimed that " hum agar fail hogaye toh angad bhi fail ho gaya hoga".

In search of that perfect cross

There are couple of good stories in Mahabharata about how to get on target 1. Arjuna not seeing anything other than bulls eye and 2.hitting the target which is eye of fish by looking at its reflection in water. So its amazing some thing like that got incorporated, real stories or authors created fiction?

What i really wonder is, ability of human mind to launch projectiles and hit them on target. Two games i had experience of these test are golf and football. In both games first u have to play the ball in your mind( but one must know from experience how they will actually behave) and then do it same on the ground.Anything else is just a fluke. Now the degree of imagination is what i question here, i just look at the target spot which has to be like a foot or a head,( but i can imagine what shot that guy will play from there on wards , this is stretching of point since here only discussing the initial trajectory)
In golf one has more time to imagine and decide on the exact trajectory more i guess than football, but the idea remains the same.

In both games one also needs a consistent technique , otherwise one cant deal with the real behavior.

certain test - get a target and illuminate while leaving the path in between completely dark. see if a person can hit the target , also see if the person can improve

Its amazing that other than humans , no other animals use projectiles. humans can kick, throw etc and land stuff on target. whats really important to me is how we do it . This can show us about the brain, its ability of doing certain things without knowing, how to do it. This shows us about the learning capacity of our brain.

P.S - even though the blog post is not good, there is a story behind it. Let me reveal it. there is stray dog which is friend of my dog buddy. Now this dog has got lot of ticks on its body so i don’t want it to come near my dog since he already had tick fever once. This dog is always trying to come and play with buddy , so earlier i use to take stones and but only throw them very close to dog but always making sure i never hit him. Now this dog learnt this and started to feel less scared. So i decided to actually hit the dog, but i have been unsuccessful till now ( some 1500 stones thrown).

i have couple of theories one being the first 500 stones trained the dog to dodge and second i have a bad aim(which i dont believe since i have perfected it by throwing stones at other dogs). but my mom said i have a bad aim . So i set out to test it. I tried to hit a pole which was illuminated by its own light but rest of the path was dark(or the light blinded me , as i always lost path of stone ). Only after i hit the wall on the other side of pole would i see the stone again, i found this very hard and so came up with the test.

P.S 2 even now that fucking dog is barking outside.

monsoon doubts

yesterday it rained a lot and light went out , and while every time lighting striked i could see the tree from my window making scary faces. But, i was thinking what if earth didn't tilt on its axis and we didn't have summer and winter, will we still have monsoon?

as in if north of earth was always in summer, will we have monsoon - a perennial monsoon, a monsoon that comes but is weakened or no monsoon. i just want to know because monsoon are easy to imagine and if i get answer to this , i will get more data to fit into the video simulation of monsoon in my head

and while we are on it will someone please tell me how does those thread marks on tyres work. As in that grip cant get inside the road.

two wrong cant make a right but three wrongs can

Every one has a opinion about Ramdev dramatics going on. here goes mine

Three parties involve are there
1. Ramdev - I don't know what his agenda is. But one clear benefit i see is, corruption is center stage once again in media. So at least it will be a boiling issue for elections and hopefully will remain a issue for long time. More over more fast like this can happen all over India and every where corruption will be a major issue and not cast, religion etc

2. media - Again even though media tries to hide behind the flag of crusade against corruption , most channels just want to sell. But its amazing how much its selling , and keeps these issues from dying out . Its amazing 10-15 years ago when only half an hour of news use to come so few people would watch it, or how many people actually read serious news. But all are in for this masala news.

3. common man at these show - I would often wonder at the "none" chance the common man had against the current corrupt system. Here no common man can win election. Hell, no one even listens to them. their votes are most divided . What i also felt sorry was some one with a job etc wont have a chance to take a stand and risk his entire life getting wasted in fighting the system.

Now two things are happening one lots of people (which is not the people i spoke about-people with jobs ) are coming to events like these. Again this keeps politicians on toes.
Secondly pseudo support from twitter, Face-book is coming . Both these i feel are not the politically aware people. But they are getting the job done

Together these three are atleast finger fucking the govt. which is a treat in itself.
