things to write

well i have had certain topics in mind , which i want to write about but i never got through writing them , well i couldn’t decide what level to write them at.

but let me write them in a way that i have thought them no wrapping up in some fancy comparison with current world etc

first - i wanted to write about Krishna from Mahabharata . Its a amazing character , without picking up a sword Krishna decided the war ( i wanted to make a analogy with some modern day football manager ) there is this small story - duryodhan had gone to convince Krishna to fight for him and when he reached there Krishna was sleeping . so he sat there on next ( on some chair kinda thing ) and yudhishtar went little late but he sat in front or close to feet and when Krishna woke up he saw yudhistar first ( typical Mahabharata mix up ) . Ultimately Krishna gave choice that u can pick me or my army but i wont fight and duryodhan picked the army . This pretty much decided the war. Whats so great about this analogy is that Krishna pulls so many strings in the war that if he was human also , people after reading the book will say he is god . (human in story or what ever) . there by creating the urban legend he is god . The end that he sees is also seems to be really nice dealt , you know kinda ironic death he faces

Secondly i wanted to write about bali - Bali is realy one of my favourite characters ( i wanted to probably create a analogy between me and him - but that would be pretty sad for him i guess)
Bali had this awesome power that who ever he fights he gets all equivalent power added to his own. So he will be always stronger than the opponent that he is facing ( their is even a story of bali beating ravan before ).
SEE it in real world as one on match , let me tell you from my own experience - when ever i have played any match in say baddy i rate my self very badly against opponents( as in their level is really good and i don’t know have same strength and even same skill) but when i play i have beaten many opponents who are much better than me. now its probably because i rate myself badly .But i would like to see it as increase of level against a better opponent. ( also there is a catch in my power though sometimes i feel like now i will win and my power goes - this was fiction story line i was gonna develop, may be )
Same shit happens in football , but its much different . Also sometimes its not about beating but at least increasing level so u can at least match up to better opponent ( actually u have to better only ) and so on its hard to describe since its always hard to analyze this and not mix fictionalize it completely( if i am telling it as straight face like i am telling it now .)

Now in this bali character is no underdog. one thing i wanted to put across was like he knows he is gonna get strong and he can match up with any one. in fact look it this way he is a consistent underdog but he is a winner . no matter what the competition throws at him he will always do it one up . he will always win at the end .

You see one thing that motivated me to write was stuff like death note ( its a anime , its about one guy finds a book in which if u write the name of the person and if you know his face then you can kill that person. simple idea - they extended it to the person having the death note becomes death god kinda meme a internet sensation who kills of criminals.now other way around they get one detective who feels that this is not a way to stop crime and decides to stop kira . Throw in some philosophy shit (which i felt was used well to provide depth to story , therefore not the waste that people calls it)
The point about death note its a simple story that is extended well on a simple idea and they ended up with a great story.(similar case with full metal alchemist )
unlike catch 22 or something its not based on some real life characters and any one could have thought of this idea of death note. How does one know that what idea they have is worthy of extending it to a full fledged story.

There are also other things to think about , one big problem for me is giving shape and say may be putting efforts to say things in more complicated things than they really are . But this might of essence if i really want to write something nice.

But the negative of all that is what i feel in harry potter simple idea , extended to 7 books. It gets full of cliches and ultimately i felt book ran out of steam after 4 th book . what i really want some harry potter fan to do is make some statistical / function kinda graph and show the twists in story ( i mean she cant use twist in every book since if you know there is a twist coming , it ain’t a twist any more kinda theory )

SO , where to go with these characteristics and some more like these . expand them and cover with fancy language or say them as it is?
